Sprint Nextel- Changing Names to making itself visible

Sprint Nextel is going to rechristen its next generation wireless Internet service and it will have a change of name for a week and is going to affect all its logos and shows. The campaign is schedule to start from Monday. Neal Tiles who is the president of G4 said that the idea of a change in name is to create ripples in the wireless scene. At least that is what the chief hopes to do by having an opportunity to promote Sprint services. He added sheepishly that nothing is sacred now. Sprint Nextel Corp- Pouching to survive in an increasingly stiff market

When the stock market opened on Wednesday all eyes were turned towards the second quarter results which were declared by Sprint Nextel Corp which is the 3rd largest wireless service provider in the US Sprint profits had taken a nosedive since the middle of 2007 and was somewhat like an ailing company in the wireless market. The company has seen red ever since. And to make matters worse it hasn’t seen any increase in the subscribers list. However it is desperately trying to improve its customer service and is trying to stabilize the downfall to manageable levels. In the previous quarter it lost another 75.000 .It has almost reached a stage where it can post a net subscriber gain and this by itself will be an achievement for the company. The worrying aspect is that the people who have the means to afford a two years contract have become almost extinct and the companies are stealing subscribers from one another. The other network giants have logged good increase in subscribers and things are not looking well for Sprint.

Sprint Nextel Corporation -Weathering the tide and surviving the bad weather

Sprint Nextel Corporation has for the first time some good news with reference to the increase in subscribers in the last quarter. The corporation has been able to improve on its record of customer service as well as the number of retentions. Nevertheless all is not well and the company is losing its most profit generating customers in the long term -two year contract band. It has posted larger losses due to tax and other local effects. Sprint shares a trifle by 6 cents and rose to $4.90 at the end of morning trade. Premarket shares were up by 10 percent against a loss of 257,000 customers the Sprint gained 111,000 customers. The corporation plans to increase the wireless subscribers and reduce the contract subscribers in the remaining year.
